Vox Populi
The words are numb and I am so afraid there is no meaning
I believe in the power of words. Words are fundamental to our existence; Language is the anatomy of our identity. Words are what allowed us to bring order to the violence and chaos of nature, to end the reign of fear and bring humanity into the light. Words are the bedrock of our consciousness, we seek them instinctively and pursue them with the unrelenting vigor of the hunt. Fundamental to the function of words is understanding, the effort to understand others is the only means at our disposal to differentiate the chaotic influences on our minds from the thread of truth the pursuit of which is the essence of discovery.
Words mean things. There is no alternative to truth; Truth is only discovered by association until no doubt remains, and we can exercise power with the confidence of righteous certainty. Justice is the ideal of truth, for power must be exercised in the eternal war against the ceaseless decay that has eroded us to this dismal state of being. We are afflicted by indifference to sickness and strife, a human sacrifice in worship of the idol named DOLLAR we commit with each selfish thought and action. Under the spell of envy we extol gluttony and greed, debasing virtue as vanity to declare its impotence against an inexorable tide of sin. We are consumed by something too horrifying to name, a nightmare of our childhoods passed down from elders beyond memory.
Our ancestors faced powers we thought long caged, a sickness of the mind that spreads through us like a psychic virus and consumes our souls with its fury. We were warned of the devils that live in our conscience, the secret whispers we lie away safe behind the comfort of our reason. Our elders saw the horrors only the human soul can wreak. Horrors as formless as action and mysterious as will, which haunt our fate should our vigil ever falter. We are the stewards of our own destiny; We are bound together by the nexus of Earth, our prison and home and the font of our vision and joy. We cannot direct our fate with fear, the unknown must be faced with stolid determination and unwavering faith in one another lest the devils hidden within our nature steal our trust which forms itself the foundation of our community.
